Estudio de la implementación del protocolo IPV6 de los ISP en la ciudad de Medellín durante el primer semestre del 2010

Abstract

En la actualidad los sistemas que se encuentran basados en las redes de direccionamiento IP, están pasando por un gran problema ya que la versión (IPV4), que actualmente determina su funcionamiento tiende a agotar su capacidad, provocando que el sistema de red que actualmente se tiene bajo el internet colapse, y bloque su distribución. Pese al problema, se ha venido estudiando una salida, en la cual se considera la implementación del protocolo IPV6, este consiste en brindar una mayor estabilidad en la plataforma, siendo más seguro y confiable para la transmisión de datos, sin embargo el uso del servicio implica un costo para algunas plataformas que actualmente no cuenta con los niveles de hardware y de software exigidos por el sistema.
