Barreras de las pymes para acceder a mercados internacionales: el caso del sector textil en Medellín

Abstract

El sector textil en Colombia históricamente ha sido uno de los sectores con mayores desempeños en la industria colombiana gracias a la alta generación de empleo, buena dinámica empresarial y gran aporte a la industria del país. Los textiles y confección están catalogados a nivel mundial como artículos de consumo masivo, desde sus inicios tomo fuerza en los diferentes países donde se fue desarrollando y con el paso del tiempo y gracias a los diferentes avances tecnológicos fue convirtiéndose poco a poco en uno de los principales pilares de las economías mundiales; aunque es una industria muy vulnerable y para el país ha sufrido varias crisis por consecuencias del comercio informal, contrabando, falta de medidas proteccionistas contundentes que apoyen las exportaciones y las favorezcan frente a las importaciones y que le han restado competitividad al sector en la industria del país. La globalización y la tecnología han aportado al sector competitividad y aunque aún falta mucho apoyo e inversión en la industria textil y confección en el país, esta sigue creciendo y posicionándose como una de las mejores a nivel mundial, las grandes industrias le inyectan modernización y reingeniería logrando así mayor eficiencia y elevando su competitividad.

The textile sector in Colombia has historically been one of the sectors with greater performances in the Colombian industry thanks to the high generation of employment, good business dynamics and great contribution to the industry of the country. Textiles and clothing are cataloged worldwide as articles of mass consumption, from its beginnings I take force in the different countries where it was developed and with the passage of time and thanks to the different technological advances it was becoming little by little one of the main pillars of world economies; although it is a very vulnerable industry and for the country has suffered several crises due to informal trade, smuggling, lack of strong protectionist measures that support exports and favor against imports and that have reduced the competitiveness of the sector in the industry country. Globalization and technology have contributed to the competitiveness sector and although there is still a lot of support and investment in the textile and clothing industry in the country, it continues to grow and position itself as one of the best in the world, large industries inject modernization and reengineering thus achieving greater efficiency and increasing its competitiveness.
